Isla Fisher will star in the new comedy “Confessions of a Shopaholic". The movie is based on the books of Sophie Kinsella with P.J. Hogan at the helm of the project. The film tells the story of a compulsive shopper in Manhattan, performed by Fisher, up to her neck in debt that ironically turns into a financial advice columnist. Shooting is set to begin in January 2008. "Shopaholic" is the first title of the novles, of which five have been published.

When I'm auditioning for films with women I really respect, and usually when they get the job and I don't, I just think, 'Well, they really deserve it'. "I feel a bit of an interloper."
